What to Take to Bradford Woods

Students should take sufficient and suitable clothing so that they may participate fully in the outdoor program.  Remember that weather is unpredictable!  Spring at Bradford Woods can be hot during the day and chilly to cold in the evening.  Hikes and regular activities will be conducted in any weather except the most severe. Please pack accordingly.  Each child should attempt to bring the items listed below.  Students must be able to pack, unpack and carry all belongings alone. Student gear should be packed in a duffel bag, backpack, or suitcase.  All items need to be clearly marked with the student’s name.  Suitcases, sleeping bags, and backpacks need to be marked with both the child’s name and his school.  Socks, t-shirts and similar items tend to get lost more easily than other clothing.  Please be sure to label them with initials or names.  If you initial them, we can get them home again.  Please keep in mind that many activities involve some level of getting dirty, therefore, consider bringing older clothes, not new ones.  Shoes or boots should be broken in to prevent blisters.
