April 2008 Grade 3
The children chose great books to read
and brought in
wonderful
projects – tshirts, puzzles, dioramas, trading
cards, puppet
shows, and a character even appeared!
Math:
The children recently completed a unit
on fractions.
Please continue to talk about fractions
whenever the
opportunity
arises. We will be moving on with
extended
multiplication
and division – keep practicing those facts!
Social Studies:
Diversity is the topic of study in
second and third grade.
We are exploring children around the
world searching for
similarities
and differences.
Biography Projects Coming
Soon:
The students will soon be learning about
the interesting
lives of many
famous people. They will be reading
about
their chosen
person and creating a power point presentation.
Watch for your invitation in your
child’s home folder.
